Survival Systems International focuses on marine safety with our proven and tested survival craft and launch equipment. Ask about our patented hook system, proven lifeboat maintenance procedures and our service abilities to perform onshore and or offshore repairs.
The short story of Tim Matherson who was safely rescued from the Gorilla I disaster because of a Survival Systems International Totally Enclosed Motor Propelled Survival Craft (TEMPSC). To date, SSI products have resulted in the safe rescue of over 2,200 people in over 60 incidents at sea.
Survival Systems International took over the design, production and servicing of all the *Whittaker Survival Systems in 1987. We now have over 2000 units in service in the offshore regions of over thirty countries worldwide.*Whittaker capsules, and Whittaker lifeboats. As well as Brucker survival capsules and lifeboats.
In over 50 years of continuous service to the industry our single cable launched survival systems have successfully evacuated over 2,200 offshore personnel in more than 60 emergency incidents.
Our Headquarters and manufacturing facility is in San Diego California, USA.

Survival Systems International proudly holds the best safety record in the industry based on 45+ years manufacture, supply and service of OEM Single Fall Escape capsules.
It is this safety record and underpinning methods that influence both our mindset and actions when approaching offshore and onshore activity as an Approved Service Provider.
Survival Systems International utilises a competency assessment programme in accordance with the IMO MSC.402(96) for all service personnel working under the companies Approved Service Provider designation. This programme forms part of the companies ISO9001 certification and is specifically audited by multiple marine administrations, classifications societies and recognised organisations to ensure compliance with IMO requirements.
Key Personnel such as our QA and HSE Managers oversee the setup, completion and review of all scopes regardless of onshore/offshore status.
Locations
SSI is able to offer full repair and refurbishment of your lifeboats. Smaller repairs can be performed on your vessel.For larger repairs, SSI’s service bases around the world offer full onshore lifeboat refurbishment facilities. In addition SSI is able to perform re-hooking of your lifeboats with SSI’s certified industry leading Triple5LX lifeboat hook system.

History in Malaysia
Survival Systems opened the business in Malaysia during 1991, under the Malaysianisation Programme, in order to transfer technologies to the Malaysian people.
Survival Systems has had three phases to our presence in Malaysia:
Phase 1: 1991 – Joint Venture partnering with local representative.
Phase 2: 2007 – Partnering with local VDP company.
Phase 3: 2015 - Independent Malaysian based SSI Service Company.
Survival Systems International are now a full Bumiputera company, wholly owned by the Malaysian staff and are pleased to hold a valid Petronas licence.

Consistent quality has been designed into Survival Systems International Asia Sdn. Bhd lifeboat servicing and into all our interactions with our customers. We are approved by Bureau Veritas to ISO 9001:2008.
We have retained our employees throughout this period with time served competent technicians, who have worked with us between 18 – 25 years, while also investing heavily in the future of our company.
