In addition to SSI’s world-class repair and testing facilities, a full stand-alone training school is maintained to deliver comprehensive courses internally and externally.

Training starts at 8:30am On-site parkingLunch and refreshments included.

- Coveralls
- Hardhat
- Steel Toe Boots

Certificate

Certificate of Competency issued to delegates. Certificate valid for 2 years.

Course Aims

To ensure all personnel who come into contact with lifeboats, are fully trained on the following:

  • Competency Training on lifeboat systems as a complete system.
  • Removing the assumption that lifeboat systems are safe to enter, without checking.
  • How to check your lifeboats are safe to enter.

    Each delegate will have a full understanding of the following:

  • Risk Assessments of lifeboat maintenance.
  • Safe practices for the suspension of lifeboats onto the maintenance pendants.
  • Risk associated with on-load release.
  • Overweight lifeboats and safe working loads.
  • The principals of stop, drop and look entering lifeboats safely.
